Very dark ruby color. Slightly sauvage aromas of boysenberry, minerals, smoke and toffee. Like liquid velvet on the palate, with extraordinary sweetness and brightness. A huge wine, with remarkable depth of flavor; fruit coats the entire mouth. Finishes extremely long, with thoroughly suave tannins buried in fruit. - VM

Good dark red. Varietally expressive scents of wild herbs, red licorice and pepper. A dry, spicy, very fine-grained wine with terrific inner-mouth lift. The tannins turn a bit dusty with air but the finish shows a compelling savory quality that makes it compellingly drinkable. V
