Fine pale colour, youthful zesty nose, plenty of energy. Tight lean and limey but with very good intensity and the length is there. It is all quite understated at the moment and may fatten up later on. - JM

Pale yellow. Very tight nose hints at charred oak (this wine was bottled last, on April 10). Rich, tactile and smooth, conveying lovely lemony acidity and spicy freshness for this bottling. Youthfully tight for Bouchères but subtle and refined. Finishes tactile, chewy and long, and not at all overripe. - VM

A whiff of oak toast does not intrude on the cool and ultra-pure essence of green apple, pear, lavender and discreet wisps of spice and citrus rind. There is terrific intensity to the beautifully refined and precise middle weight flavors that deliver excellent persistence on the harmonious finish. This doesn't possess the volume or power of the Charmes or the Poruzots yet the lacy refinement is genuinely lovely. (Drink starting 2022) - BH
