The 2012 Meursault 1er Cru Porusots from Domaine des Comtes-Lafon has a very succinct and subtle bouquet, beautifully defined, backwards and introspective but I think there is huge potential here. The palate is clean, fresh and poised, a hint of sour lemon on the entry but thereafter it becomes cohesive and focused with hints of white chocolate furnished the long, persistent finish. This is another excellent 2012 from Dominique Lafon. (NM) - WA

Good full yellow. Aromas and flavors of ripe yellow peach and clove. Large-scaled, rich and highly concentrated, conveying an old-vines density of texture. This was the last premier cru Lafon harvested in 2012 but there's excellent acidity here to support the wine's spicy richness. The slightly tannic finish conveys power and firm structure. (ST) - VM

Once again reduction renders the nose impossible to fairly evaluate. There is excellent richness to the round and solidly concentrated medium weight plus flavors that possess a taut muscularity before culminating in a noticeably dry, clean and strikingly persistent finish. This is not especially refined but it's well-balanced and built to improve over the better part of a decade. - BH
