Nine barrels produced from vines planted in 1929. A complex, quite intellectual nose of black cherries, iodine, quince and truffle. Very intense on the palate, again smooth and silky, very elegant with a little more structure and persistency than the regular Echezeaux. Again, it has seductive in character with that irresistible sorbet tinge on the finish. How can you not love that? - WA

This is more elegant still aromatically with airy and very spicy aromas of red and black fruit aromas that complement to perfection the rich and wonderfully intense flavors that exude old vine concentration and extract on the firm and gorgeously long finish. This is an impeccably balanced wine and it's rare for even an exceptional Ech to rival a fine Grands Ech but this one does. - BH
