Reviews & Scores
An airy, pure and elegant nose is still wonderfully fresh with its array of citrus blossom, green apple and pretty white orchard fruit scents. The intense and nicely rich middle weight flavors possess both good volume and an appealing mid-palate plumpness, all wrapped in a generous, sappy and very dry finale. This classy effort offers both fine depth and excellent length and for my taste, a few more years of patience should be rewarded even though it would be no vinous sin to be drinking it now. - BH

A tangy white, with a mineral underpinning to the citrus and apple flavors. Balanced in a lean style, with spice and mineral notes coursing through the long, hazelnut-accented finish. Best from 2016 through 2024. - WS

A statuesque Burgundy, the 2011 Meursault Les Tessons Clos de Mon Plaisir is all class. Nothing in particular stands out, so impeccable is the wine's balance. The depth and intensity of the fruit is apparent, but readers will have to give the 2011 at least another year or two before the elements start to truly come together. The 2011 is impressive for its depth and stuffing. - VM

The 2011 Meursault Tessons, which comes from two parcels, is more reserved on the nose than the Tillets. There are touches of gypsum and oyster shell on the nose that is once again, extremely well-defined. The palate has real frisson on the entry, almost a sherbet-like effervescence with a long, lively quince-tinged finish that leaves the tongue tingling. Superb. - WA
