Deep red-ruby. Musky, wild berry aromas complicated by licorice and exotic spices. Broad, full and quite dry; much less expressive today in the mouth than the preceding samples. The fruit shades to red, a sign of the moderately ripe vintage. Finishes with savory, peppery nuances and substantial dusty tannins. - VM

Outer quote mark A perfect storm of bright cherry, black currant, spice and mineral flavors, this offers a silky texture and innate power in the form of intensity and gripping, well-integrated tannins. Offers fine harmony and expression, and is surprisingly open now, with plenty of time to develop. (BS) - WS
