Moving a step up to the La Coma d’en Romeu, it is the other ‘Grand Cru’ site aside from the Mas d’En Caçador, showing off all Garnaxta Negra in possibly its best environs. La Coma d’en Romeu is a red-fruited dominant Priorat that is elegant with subtle, gorgeously-integrated tannins. The 2020 vintage, possibly one of the ‘worst’, still produced a 99-point score; anticipating better for a stellar (and slightly more plentiful) 2021 edition! It will easily age a decade or more.

A varietal Garnatxa with a more southerly exposure. Fantastic freshness and elegance, with bright, earthy strawberries and raspberry fruit, orange peel, sappy wild herbs and delicate, wild, floral aromas. Delicately spicy and herbal, yet so pure-fruited and precise. This is a special bottle of Garnacha and still so young.
