Still youthful and initially closed, aromas of smoky, dusty, tobacco-infused hedgerow berries, plum and floral notes begin to emerge with time in the glass. In the mouth it's very grippy, chewy even; a dense, sturdy style that's dark-fruited and muscular yet with some bright overtones. Earth and black pepper ring out, backed by a creaminess and very good acidity which adeptly balances the weight.
