“The 2021 Pommard “En Brescul” bottling from Laurent Lignier was one of his harder frosted parcels and yields here are down fifty percent as a result. The wine has turned out beautifully, delivering a complex constellation of red and black cherries, pomegranate, gamebird, fresh thyme, bonfire, dark soil tones and just a touch of oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, complex and very transparent in personality this year, with a lovely core, fine-grained tannins and impeccable balance on the long and complex finish. This is very elegant young Pommard. 2031-2070.”
