Here too there is just a background hint of wood that does not intrude upon the wonderfully refined aromas that are airy, pure and lacy and exhibit largely the same components as the Montée de Tonnerre. The detailed and equally pure flavors are unusually forward with fine intensity and superb finishing length and minerality. I like the high level of extract and overall sense of balance. - BH

The 2009 Chablis Blanchots is deep, powerful and intense, particularly in the way it blossoms on the palate with layers of radiant fruit.
