"A wonderfully complex, cool and ultra-pure nose is comprised by notes of spice, dried flowers, citrus, white and yellow orchard fruit, all of which is trimmed in a discreet application of wood. There is excellent size, weight and punch to the tautly muscular flavors that coat the mouth on the balanced and gorgeously persistent finish."

The 2013 Montrachet Grand Cru has a very well defined bouquet with impressive mineralité and tension, a subtle oyster shell influence coming through with time. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, lively and vibrant in the mouth with orange zest, mandarin and quite a healthy dash of spice towards the finish. This Montrachet deserves a polite standing ovation. - WA
