Bright ruby. Locked up tight on the nose. Dense, fat and smoky in the mouth, with pliant flavors of musky red berries, black plum, licorice and tar. Offers lovely volume and sweetness, and the creamy texture that the pH of 4.1 would suggest. Finishes with broad, late-arriving tannins. - VM
