An exuberantly spicy nose blends notes of citrus rind with those of green apple and spice, especially anise. There is excellent verve to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that exude an almost bracing minerality on the attractively textured, clean and very dry finale. This could use better depth but given the impeccable aging potential the Clos des Monts Luisants has historically demonstrated, more complexity will almost certainly develop. - BH

Bottled in June and Alexandre thinks that this particular wine needs a year post bottling to resurface. A pale lemon colour. The nose has a little waxiness, on top of fresh plums. You can smell the skins. Significant intensity on the palate, less acidity. This is a lovely wine but I think the 2021 may prove to have greater class. Dense and interesting, with medium length. Drink from 2025-2035. - JM

The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Blanc Mont Luisants 1er Cru has a fresh waxy, white peach and Anjou pear scented nose that gains intensity in the glass. The palate is fresh with grapefruit and white peach infused fruit, fine acidity, cohering nicely towards the lightly spiced finish. - VM
