The 2017 Extra-Brut Cramant Les Gouttes d’Or, bottled in a small run of just 400 magnums, is superb. Rich and ample in the glass, the 2017 offers up an enticing mélange of tangerine oil, lemon confit, chamomile spice and light touches of oak. Readers should expect a heady, vinous Champagne built on texture and power more than anything else. Another year or two in bottle should be beneficial. I loved it. Dosage is 1.5 grams per liter.
