Bright medium ruby. Sexy, perfumed nose offers scents of black cherry, spices, licorice, wild herbs and soil; there was less stress here thanks to the combe influence, noted Charlopin. Tight-grained, very concentrated and slightly high-toned, offering serious energy and lift to its black cherry, spice and earth flavors. This juicy, intensely flavored Clos Vougeot finishes firmly tannic but not hard and appears to be a standout in 2015. - WA
