1 x 500 litre barrel, not yet racked. Good fruit weight on the nose with but the mildest reduction. This also is fairly substantial for the vintage, a little spice at the finish, perfect oak integration, the weight of a well-judged Folatières, mostly white fruit. Fair to long persistence. Drink from 2026-2032. - JM

The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru was showing a lot of reduction on the nose that makes it difficult to read. The palate is well balanced with plenty of salinity, quite strict and "cool" in style with a touch of orange rind on the finish. A noble Pinot. - VM
