The 2021 Meursault Les Luchets has a very impressive bouquet that may outperform the subsequent vintage: struck flint, cold stream, Granny Smith apples, a little strict yet compelling. The palate is very taut on the entry and then fans out wonderfully, lemon and orange rind, a touch of stem ginger with a hint of peach skin towards the finish. Wonderful. (Drink between 2026-2042) - VM

Smoky, cool and airy aromas of citrus confit, spice, toasted hazelnut and various white fleshed fruit are trimmed in all but imperceptible wood. The mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is also racy but even a bit more refined while exuding an almost pungent minerality on the wonderfully long and exquisitely balanced finale. This is superb and the best young Roulot Luchets in many a year. - BH

Pale lemon colour. First nose with a bit of reduction. Lean yet concentrated, with perfect balance in this Roulot style, kicks on to a brilliant chiselled finish. A little fresh lemon juice poured over the limestone. Drink from 2025-2030. - JM
