Bright red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry liqueur, violet and minerals. Very sweet but fresh; here the black fruit flavors show a vibrancy that comes from the wine's stony character. Very ripe but not overripe. These vines are planted north to south and thus suffered less from the sun in 2003. - VM

Fresh earth, blackberries, cassis, and cherries are found in the nose of the 2003 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes. Armed with gorgeous breadth, purity, and balance, this lush, medium to full-bodied effort coats the palate with sweet red cherries and ripe tannin. - WA
